Priaulx looking forward to German Touring Car series
Priaulx won three world and one European touring car titles
Guernsey's Andy Priaulx says he is looking forward to competing in the German Touring Car Championship.
There has not yet been any official announcement of who will drive for BMW when it returns to the series in 2012.
But Priaulx told BBC Guernsey that, although he would leave any official announcements to BMW, he was confident of his future with the company.
The three-time world champion and his BMW team have said they are no longer going to compete in World Touring Cars.
Priaulx said: "I'm very optimistic and very confident and relaxed about my future with BMW... and the possibilities of DTM [Deutsche Tourenwagen-Meisterschaft].
"It's going to huge for BMW. It's a massive, massive championship in Germany, but also recognised internationally.
"They take a Formula 1 approach - the cars are much faster than world touring car. You'll see the likes of Ralph Schumacher and David Coulthard racing.
"It's quite clear [BMW] can't do everything and I think their focus now will be going to race against the likes of Audi and Mercedes instead of Chevrolet and Seat."
