Redding scored 102 points during the 2010 Moto2 season
Scott Redding says his progress in the 2010 Moto2 season is being rewarded with a test ride on a MotoGP bike.
The 17-year-old from Quedgeley finished eighth in the riders' standings with Belgian team Marc VDS Racing.
"At the end of this month in Herez I'll be testing the MotoGP bike with Suter," Redding told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.
"It's been my aim and my ambition and there's just one place I want to be, I didn't think it'd be this early but it's great to have the opportunity."
Suter supply their MMX bikes for Marc VDS in a development partnership which began with the introduction of the new Moto2 class in 2010 and is being extended for 2011.
The link-up means Redding and his new team-mate Mika Kallio have already been able to test next year's bike and in a sign of the team's respect for Redding he was involved in the process.
"It was partly my decision as well," said Redding. "We thought about changing but we've been strong this year with it so there's no reason why we can't next year.
"I've been testing just to get a feel on the new bike and it was really good - the weakest point of the Suter is the traction but the new chassis seems to be coming along better."
