Lincoln's Sam Lowes picked up six World Supersport Championship points with a 10th-place finish in Sunday's British round of the series at Silverstone.

The 19-year-old British Supersport series leader started from 17th on the GNS Racing Honda.

He went on to finish as the highest-placed wildcard rider.

Sam's twin Alex, who outqualified his brother by three places on the Seton Interceptor Yamaha, was unhurt following a start-line crash.

The Lowes return to action in round eight of the British Supersport Championship at Brands Hatch on Sunday, 8 August.

In World Superbikes, HM Plant Honda's Josh Brookes was also in the points as a wildcard, finishing 12th in race two after coming 16th in the opening race.

His team-mate Ryuichi Kiyonari, who spent two seasons in World Superbikes before rejoining the Louth-based outfit, was 21st and 16th in the two races.
