Leon Haslam keeps Superbike title dream alive

Leon Haslam
Haslam is second in the standings but still trails Biaggi by 60 points

Leon Haslam has not given up hope of winning the Superbike World Championship after two top-four finishes at Silverstone on Sunday.

Alstare Suzuki rider Haslam cut Max Biaggi's lead by eight points after finishing third and fourth - but is still 60 points behind the Italian.

Haslam told his website: "The last three rounds - Nurburgring, Imola and Magny-Cours- are circuits I like.

"We're going see if we can grab some wins and keep the pressure on."

Yamaha rider Cal Crutchlow emerged victorious in this weekend's races - his first ever World Superbike wins.
