Haslam is still second but trails Biaggi by 68 points |
Leon Haslam's chances of winning the Superbike World Championship seem to be over after a disappointing weekend in the latest round in the Czech Republic. Max Biaggi was already 37 points ahead of the Derbyshire man in the standings. And the Italian stretched his lead to 68 points thanks to a first and second in the two races in Brno. Alstare Suzuki rider Haslam could only manage an eighth and a 10th place and now only has a slim chance of bridging the gap in the remaining four rounds. Jonathan Rea took the race one spoils for Ten Kate Honda but Aprilia rider Biaggi recovered from the setback to take the honours in the second race.
