Hynek Stichauer joined Stoke Potters at the start of the 2010 season

Stoke Potters have signed Germany Under-21 rider Frank Facher as cover for the injured Hynek Stichauer.

The 21-year-old will make his debut against Sheffield on Thursday, subject to approval from the British Speedway Promoters Association.

Stichauer was hurt on 16 July, breaking his hand and suffering concussion after a fall in the 51-39 defeat to Scunthorpe in the Premier League.

Facher will remain at Stoke until Stichauer is fully fit to ride again.

The Potters have been hit with a number of serious injuries throughout the 2010 season, with skipper Jason Bunyan (broken arm) and Adam Roynon (broken ankle) ruled out for the rest of the year.
