Bunyan has been one of several Stoke riders to suffer injuries in 2010 |
Stoke Potters skipper Jason Bunyan has declared himself fit to race again after almost three months out injured. Bunyan, 31, has not raced competitively since 10 April after suffering ligament damage to his knee. However, he came through an extensive practice session on Monday and will be available to ride in the Premier League meeting against Newcastle on Saturday. "It's a real boost to have Jason back because he has been such a big loss," said Stoke promoter Dave Tattum. Bunyan has made several attempts to come back after sustaining the injury in the Premier Trophy victory over Sheffield, but continued to suffer discomfort in his knee. The Potters will be looking for revenge against Newcastle at Loomer Road, having been beaten 55-38 in the reverse fixture in May.
