Redding rides for a Belgian team, Marc VDS Racing |
Moto 2 rider Scott Redding hopes his Mugello tests from earlier this year will boost his chances of success at this weekend's Grand Prix. The Gloucester teenager finished 11th at Le Mans last month to score his first points of the season. Redding told BBC Gloucestershire: "We tested there and it went pretty well so we should be able to start fast from the beginning of the weekend. "We are struggling in the qualifying but we've got to do what we can do." This weekend's race is the fourth of the season and the last before the Championship moves to Silverstone on 20 June. "The circuit at Mugello is really hard and quite a physical and mental test," added Redding. "Even the corners are fast and it's difficult to keep your concentration up through the race. "We're going forward but trying not to rush into it and be inconsistent."
