Skornicki has replaced Joe Screen in the Wolves line-up |
Polish star Adam Skornicki made a stunning return from a long-term injury as Wolves beat Eastbourne 61-29 in the Elite League. The 33-year-old fans' favourite was unbeaten on his way to 14 points, seven months after breaking his leg at the end of last season. "I can't remember the last time I managed to put starts together like that," said Skornicki. "It's great to be back - I am very, very happy!" There was also a welcome return to form for Wolves skipper Tai Woffinden who scored 11 points, despite a mishap in heat 15. There were also double-digit contributions from Freddie Lindgren and Nicolai Klindt (10 points apiece), with Ty Proctor adding nine. Ricky Kling was the pick of a poor Eastbourne performance with eight points, Matej Zagar and Lukas Dryml each adding six.
