Woffinden will be forced to sit out Thursday's meeting at Brandon |
Wolverhampton will be without captain Tai Woffinden for their Elite League derby at Coventry on Thursday. Woffinden, 19, damaged his wrist in a fall against Peterborough on Monday and, although the joint is not broken, he will miss the trip to Brandon. Wolves will cover for Woffinden by using the rider replacement facility. Joe Haines returns at reserve for Wolves after a successful time at the World Under-21 qualifier where he scored 11 points. Despite Coventry's poor start to the season, Wolves' Freddie Lindgren knows his team will have their work cut out to record their first away win in the league this season. "They've started to pick up and win meetings. It will be hard for us, especially with our injury problems," the Swede said. Tapes go up at Brandon at 1930 BST with live coverage on BBC WM 95.6 FM. Wolverhampton: Fredrik Lindgren, Ty Proctor, Nicolai Klindt, Joe Screen, Tai Woffinden R/R, Joe Haines, Ludvig Lindgren.
