Peterborough Panthers have brought in three new riders as they look to change their Elite League fortunes. Australian Rory Schlein has been signed from Coventry while Lewis Bridger moves in the other direction. Poland's Kamil Brzozowski and France's Mathieu Tresarrieu have also joined the Panthers who currently lie fifth in the Elite League table. Ales Drmyl and doubling-up partners Linus Eklof and Klaus Jakobsen have all been released by the club. All three new riders will be available for Friday's trip to Lakeside. | The chance to sign Rory only came up last Saturday and we spent hours trying to make it work Peter Oakes, Peterborough director of speedway |
Schlein, 25, won the Elite League title with Coventry in 2007 and was Australian under-21 champion in 2004. Drmyl, who has no club to go to, made way for Schlein as the Panthers could not retain both of their averages. "The chance to sign Rory only came up last Saturday and we spent hours trying to make it work," director of speedway Peter Oakes told the team's website.
