Marshall Neill celebrates after winning the Enkalon Trophy |
Marshall Neill won the Enkalon Trophy for the first time at Saturday's Irish Superbike meeting at Bishopscourt. The Portadown rider came home ahead of runner-up Gerard Kinghan and Australian Cameron Donald, who finished third. Neill also won both of the day's Irish Superbike races, with Mark Johnston taking second on both occasions. Michael Pearson had two Supersport wins and Donald one, Paul Robinson won both 125cc events, Ryan Farquhar won both Supertwins and Denver Robb both 250s. Johnston, David Haire and Stephen Thompson made up the top six in the feature Enkalon event. Pearson took his first 600cc win on Friday, while Nigel Percy won the 125cc class. Bruce Anstey crashed twice on Friday on his Suzukis, but was unhurt. Pearson was initially dropped to third in the Supersport class after incurring a 10-second penalty for arriving late in the holding area prior to the race but this was later overturned. In Saturday's first Irish Superbike race, Donald was third, Robb was fourth, Kinghan fifth and Pearson sixth. In race two, Robb came from well back on the grid to finish third, with Donald fourth, Jamison fifth and Haire sixth.
