Alastair Seeley was on winning form at Mondello Park |
Alastair Seeley secured victory in the Mondello Masters series with a win over Marshall Neill and Jack Kennedy in Sunday's feature race at the circuit. Carrickfergus rider Seeley won all three Superbike races during the weekend, with Kennedy second each time. The victories ensure Seeley assumes the lead in the Irish Superbike series. Kennedy won all three Supersport 600 races, Thomas Lawlor took three 250cc wins and Mark Lunney won two 125cc races, Drew Jamison winning the other. Richard McCartney, Lee Hill and Mark Glasgow secured a win apiece in the Supertwins events. Neill was third in two of the Superbike races and Mark Johnston, who led the Irish Superbike standings going into the weekend's racing, completing the podium in the other race. It was Seeley's second successive triumph in the Masters series, having won the inaugural crown last season.
