Ipswich Witches' challenge match against Lakeside Hammers on Friday has been called off because of rain. Steady rain fell on the Essex track throughout the afternoon and with more showers forecast, officials opted to cancel the meeting. Ipswich's trip to Lakeside was scheduled to be their first meeting of the new season. The Witches start their Elite League campaign away at last season's runners-up Swindon on 1 April.
