Reeves and Patrick Farrance finished third in their TT debut in 2008 |
Kent's triple world sidecar champion Tim Reeves says he may not be able to compete at this year's Isle of Man TT if he cannot find a new sponsor. Reeves' previous sponsor has pulled out, leaving him with only a third of his budget for the season ahead. The 37-year-old said: "Without a sponsor there is no way I can be competitive at the TT in June." Reeves hopes to team up with Manxman and four-time winning passenger Dan Sayle for the 2010 event. The pair planned to switch to Honda to compete with main rivals Dave Molyneux, John Holden and Simon Neary. But the loss of sponsorship now means Reeves may not be able to run his F2 outfit. "With Honda's support, everything was looking great, but I now find myself facing the prospect of missing the races altogether," he said. "I'm only interested in going there to win, but to upgrade and run it again this season is going to cost something in the region of £15,000. "I'm desperate to put the last two years of experience and knowledge into good practice and get a TT win, so I hope someone can come onboard soon and help make that dream a reality."
