North West 200 date is finalised

Mervyn Whyte
Race Director Mervyn Whyte said that 15 May was his preferred date

The date for next year's North West 200 has been confirmed as Saturday 15 May.

The date has been finalised after the schedule for next year's British Superbike Championship was announced.

Race director Mervyn Whyte said that 15 May was the North West organisers' preferred date and said that he was "extremely pleased".

"This will allow competitors a clear week after the May Bank Holiday race at Oulton Park (1-3 May)," added the North West 200 Race Director.

Following the North West 200 the next round of the BSB Championship will take place at Cadwell Park from 21 to 23 May.
