Provisional date agreed for NW200

Mervyn Whyte
Mervyn Whyte has stepped down as clerk of the course for the 2010 meeting

A provisional date of Saturday 15 May has been set for next year's North West 200 international motorcycle road race.

The date was agreed after the dates were announced for next year's British Superbike races but has to be ratified in November before being confirmed.

The event has been held over the same weekend over the past two years.

This year's North West 200 had to be called off with two races remaining because of changeable conditions around the Triangle circuit.
