Lyon's team face Edinburgh in the play-off and Knockout Cup finals |
King's Lynn Stars reached the Premier League play-off final with a 102-78 aggregate win over Birmingham Brummies. The Stars had a slow start to their play-off semi-final second leg but eventually found their form to beat Birmingham 55-35 at the Norfolk Arena. Birmingham won three of the first four races and the Stars made their comeback despite young star Darcy Ward only scoring paid-four points. Chris Schramm top-scored for the Stars with paid-15. King's Lynn will ride against Edinburgh, with the first leg in the Scottish capital on Friday. Stars' team manager Rob Lyon believes his team can put in a competitive performance at Edinburgh's track in the first leg of the final on Friday. "I feel quite confident that we can go up there and get a result and hopefully finish the job off when we come back next week," he told BBC Radio Norfolk. If they beat Edinburgh, the Stars will meet the Elite League's bottom club Belle Vue for a place in next year's top flight.
