King's Lynn Stars are in control of their Premier League KO Cup semi-final after hammering Scunthorpe Scorpions 70-20 in the first leg in Norfolk.
Newly-crowned world under-21 champion Darcy Ward put on another dazzling display for the home fans with a 15 point maximum at the Norfolk Arena.
The second leg of the Knock Out cup semi-final is on Friday.
Stars team manager Rob Lyon said: "It was tremendous. To come away with a 50-point lead is just phenomenal."
Captain Tomas Topinka was missing for the Stars after he was injured riding in the Czech Republic.
"You always miss the captain, obviously, but in terms of scoring we didn't. All the boys worked well together again and team spirit is very good," Lyon added.
The Stars are in action again on Wednesday in the first leg of their promotion play-off semi-final away at Birmingham Brummies.
