Robins can win title - Rossiter

Swindon manager Alun Rossiter says his team can still win their play-off final against Wolverhampton on Monday, if they can get off to a good start.

Wolves hold an impressive 16-point advantage going into the second leg of the tie at the Abbey Stadium.

Rossiter told BBC Wiltshire he knows the scale of the task but insists the Robins are good enough to succeed.

"I genuinely believe we can do it. It is a big mountain to climb but there have been bigger comebacks," he said.

"We've got to get straight at them, we can't afford any slips or mishaps but believe me, it is do-able.

"If you start putting pressure on them and they start making mistakes the element of doubt will start creeping in. We've got to be positive about it. Two 5-1s and we're back in it."

The Robins only provided two race winners in the opening leg at Monmore Green last Monday and have brought young Australian rider Cory Gathercole in to replace Paul Hurry at reserve.

"Paul is still struggling with his shoulder injury and he's still not 100% fit. We've got to chuck everything at it so we're giving Cory a go," added Rossiter.

BBC Wiltshire will have full commentary of Swindon v Wolverhampton on 103.6 FM and at bbc.co.uk/wiltshire from 1900 BST.
