Holmes replaces previous chairman Bill Carden

Isle of Man TT Marshals Association have elected Terry Holmes to be their new chairman following the decision of Bill Carden to step down.

Holmes, who has been involved in marshalling for almost 20 years, and became part of the committee in 2005 says he is up for the challenge.

"I'm delighted that the organisation has shown this faith in electing me to such a prestigious role," he said.

"I will do my best to build on the good work that Bill has already done."

Holmes, who has also previously worked on the Andreas racing commitee, continued: "We have a great bunch of people who marshal at the TT and the Manx Grand Prix and I'm really looking forward to working with everyone and making the 2010 events a success."
