 Colin Turkington leads the British Touring Car Championship |
Colin Turkington leads the British Touring Car Championship by 10 points despite failing to finish on the podium in the ninth round at Rockingham. The RAC BMW driver from Portadown was 10th in race one which was won by Stephen Jelley but improved to fourth in race two won by Jason Plato. Turkington took his second fourth place of the day in the third race which Jelley won. Turkington now has 249 points with Fabrizio Giovanardi second on 236. Jason Plato is close behind on 221, with one round of the series to go at the Brands Hatch GP circuit on 4 October.
