Colin Turkington leads the British Touring Car Championship

Colin Turkington leads the British Touring Car championship by 11 points after the eighth round of races at the Silverstone National circuit.

The Portadown driver was fourth in race one in his Team RAC BMW, fourth again in race two, and then improved to third position in the final race of the day.

Turkington has won 232 points, with Fabrizio Giovanardi on 221.

Mat Jackson won two of Sunday's races at Silverstone, with Jason Plato taking victory in the other.

There are two more rounds in the series to come, at Rockingham and the Brands Hatch GP circuit.
