Plymouth Devils are now only one point behind Weymouth in the National Trophy, after beating them convincingly at the St Boniface Arena on Friday. The Devils won 13 of the 15 races, with Kyle Hughes, Mark Simmonds and skipper Seemond Stephens all ending unbeaten. Only James White-Williams scored more than 10 points for the Wildcats. The Devils are now on nine points after three matches in the Trophy and have a game in hand over the Wildcats, who remain on 10 points. Plymouth did lose both Josh Dingle and David Gough to injury during the tie, with Dingle suffering concussion and Gough fracturing his collarbone.
