Knight in action in Greece |
Isle of Man rider David Knight finished on the podium at the penultimate round of the World Enduro Championships in Serres, Greece on Sunday. Knight finished day one of the E2 class fourth after winning all four of the day's extreme special tests on board his Kawasaki. On the second day, a three-way battle emerged between Knight, Juha Salminen and Cristobal Guerrero. Despite another excellent showing Knight finished the event in third. The Kawasaki Superbike Racing Team rider said: "I really enjoyed the event, it was tough with the heat but generally I'm pleased. "Returning to the WEC was never going to be easy, but I've improved throughout the weekend and I know where improvements can be made." Knight will now compete in the French Enduro Championship event next weekend and the WEC final the following week.
