Knight quit the World Enduro Championship earlier this month

Isle of Man star David Knight has claimed victory at the Snowshoe GNCC, round nine of the 2009 US GNCC series.

Knight started on the fifth row but claimed his first win since splitting from the BMW Motorrad Motorsport team.

The 31-year-old said: "It's great to be enjoying myself again. The race went well apart from a few mistakes like getting stuck.

"I pinned it off the start and was soon up at the front. I caught [Josh] Strang near the end of the first lap."

He added: "I wasn't sure if I was leading or not."
