Judo is one of 15 sports represented at the Games Floyd Askin has won the Isle of Man's first gold medal of the 2009 Island Games in Aland. The 45-year-old, who won silver in Rhodes 2007, won the 100kg and over section of the judo. He said: "I'm made up. I'm team captain this year and I want to lead from the front. As far as I'm concerned that is the greatest thing I can give." In other results, Rebecca Colquitt won silver and Marvja Judkowska bronze in the women's 57kg and under.
