King's Lynn Stars lost to title rivals Birmingham and mid-table Scunthorpe over the weekend in the Premier League.
The Stars' unbeaten record in Birmingham came to an end on a wet track as they lost 55-36.
Less than 24 hours later, injuries and engine problems contributed to a 57-35 defeat to the Scunthorpe Scorpions.
The results mean King's Lynn Stars are now second in the Premier League table, two points behind Birmingham Brummies, with three matches in hand.
Stars' team manager Rob Lyon said the quick turnaround between the two matches made it more difficult for his team.
"Probably three or four of the boys shouldn't have ridden at Scunthorpe and I think we looked very jaded. Scunthorpe took advantage of that, " he said.
The riders have a chance to get their title bid back on track on Wednesday when they face Birmingham at the Norfolk Arena.
Lyon said that his team's home form should ensure the title comes to Norfolk.
"Any great team will react in a positive way to defeats. It's important we get three points against Birmingham and we know that our home form will take us to the title," he said.
