St John's were crowned Standard Bank Premiership champions on Saturday, following a dominant eight-wicket victory over Loaghtyn Rams. Saints dismissed the Rams for just 112 runs with Andy Turner taking 3-16 and Jon Norrington and Chris Hawke both taking two wickets apiece. Hawke then led the Saints to victory with a top-class 40 not out. Meanwhile, Ramsey retained the Tinker Cup with a breathtaking last ball win over Castletown at Tromode. Ollie Webster dominated the Ramsey innings with an unbeaten 123 as the northerners finished on 193-7. In reply, Castletown batted steadily and required eight to win from the final over. In a tense conclusion the southerners needed four from the final ball but a good delivery from Ashley Webster resulted in a Jamie Moffatt catch and a Ramsey victory.
