Manx under-19s win again in Belgium

Cricket

The Isle of Man under-19 side beat France by 61 runs in Belgium on Tuesday to move top of the ICC European Championships Division Two table.

Batting first the Manx side made 231-7 from their fifty overs, with opener Jack Rowlands making 92 and Alex Stokoe crafting a superb half-century.

In reply, the French were always behind the required run rate and were dismissed for 170 after 48 overs.

The result sees the island move top of the table, level with Israel.

Ramsey's 14 year-old Shaun Kelly had an exceptional performance with the ball, taking 2-25 from 10 accurate overs.

There were also two wickets each for Max Stokoe, Alex Stokoe and Seb Hopkins.
