St John's need only one point from their two remaining league matches to be crowned the Standard Bank Premiership champions. Saints moved a step closer to the title with a convincing victory against Crosby on Saturday, while rivals Ramsey lost to Cronkbourne. St John's started with the ball and dismissed Crosby for 150 runs, with Danny Hawke taking 3-15. They then rattled off the runs for the loss of only three wickets. Meanwhile, Cronkbourne defeated Ramsey by eight wickets in a high-scoring match and Castletown made a strong bid for a place in the League Cup semi-finals, beating Loaghtyn by 120 runs.
