Stoke Potters have moved quickly to replace the departed Phil Morris by signing Robert Ksiezak, who was released by Birmingham this week. The 22-year-old Australian has over four years of experience in British speedway with Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belle Vue, Coventry and the Brummies. "Robert has a good record around Loomer Road and I'm sure he will do a good job for us," said promoter Dave Tattum. Morris left Stoke on Tuesday, citing a lack of form for his departure. "My recent performances were below what both I and the Stoke promotion expected," said the 33-year-old Welshman. "I have agreed with Dave Tattum that it is best for both parties if I stand down from the team with immediate effect." "There are no ill feelings on my part, I wish the team all the best and I am sorry that the Stoke fans only saw glimpses of my true abilities."
