Ryan Farquhar won three races at the 2007 Mid Antrim 150 event |
Guy Martin is among the top names who have entered for the Mid Antrim 150 road races, which will be held over the 3.6-mile Clough circuit on 1 August. The race returns after a year's absence with the start-finish paddock area back in Clough village. A nine-race programme will include two Support races, a Grand Final, 250cc and 125cc events, a Superbike race, one for Supersports, Supertwins and classics. Roads close for practice at 1600 BST on Friday and at 1000 BST on Saturday. The in-form Ryan Farquhar, Keith Amor, Michael Dunlop, Adrian Archibald, John Burrows, William Dunlop, Paul Cranston and Michael Pearson will all challenge Martin in the Superbike and Supersport events. Davy Morgan, Darren Burns, Barry Davidson, Adrian McFarland and Sam Dunlop are among the other entrants, along with English visitor Maria Costello. The field also includes 40 newcomers, including former Irish Superbike champion Pearson, from Ballygowan. The prize fund for the races will total over £9,000, with £2,270 up for grabs in the Grand Final, the winner collecting £1,000. Ray McCullough heads an impressive line-up for the parade laps. Martin and Costello will both ride in the Supertwins race, which has been dominated by Farquhar this season. Farquhar will also compete in the 250cc event.
