Christodoulou currently lies fourth in the Formula 3 standings |
Sutton Coldfield's Riki Christodoulou secured his maiden win in Formula 3 on Sunday to become the leading British driver in the championship standings. After finishing fifth in round nine, the 20-year-old dominated the second race at Snetterton to take the chequered flag for the first time. "Once I got in the lead I was able to totally control the race," Christodoulou said. "After a couple of indifferent results, this bangs home that I mean business." Christodoulou now lies fourth in the overall standings at the mid-way point of the season. "Having got this win under my belt, my aim is to keep the momentum going for the second half of the season," he said. The next races, rounds 11 and 12 of the series, take place at Donington Park on 19 July.
