Ward has moved from reserve to heat leader in his first season

King's Lynn Stars lead rider Darcy Ward is through to the Under-21 World Championship final after qualifying at semi-finals in Hungary.

The 17-year-old Australian won two of his five rides to progress to the final in Croatia in October.

Ward's team-mate Linus Eklof missed out on qualification, losing out to Michal Mitko by just one bonus point.

Wolverhampton's Tai Woffinden dominated at Miskolc, winning four of his five rides for a 14-point first place.
