Kozza Smith returned from injury against Scunthorpe |
King's Lynn Stars kept up the pressure at the top of the Premier League table after beating Scunthorpe Scorpions 56-37 on Wednesday. Three of the Stars' team - Tomas Topinka, Kozza Smith and Chris Schramm - all fell at least once during the action-packed meeting. Stars team manager Rob Lyon said: "It was vital we got the three points. Everyone chipped in tonight." The Norfolk side are six points behind Workington with four matches in hand. The Stars are in the middle of a busy few days as they are in action again on Thursday at 1945 BST away to Sheffield. On Saturday, they ride the second leg of their Premier League Knockout Cup away at Berwick. They take a 26-point lead into that match but will be without Darcy Ward and Linus Eklof as they are riding in the World Under-21 championships in Hungary.
