Wolverhampton returned to the top of the Elite League with a 50-40 local derby win over Coventry at Monmore Green on Monday night. Freddie Lindgren (14+1) extended his run of unbeaten races at home to 20 with a fourth successive maximum. Wolves were made to work hard by the Bees to secure their full three league points from the meeting. They led by only 38-34 with three heats left, but Lindgren and Peter Karlsson recorded 5-1s in heats 13 and 15.
