Cech is eager to move on to stay in the national team
West Brom full-back Marek Cech is keen to leave the club this summer after seeing his route to the first team blocked by long-serving Paul Robinson.
The Slovakian international has made only two Premier League starts since arriving from FC Porto last summer.
"My season here is the worst of my career," Cech told BBC WM.
"For sure I'm looking to a change of club because of this year - I think things won't change here, I need to leave to play whole games."
Cech, 26, is anxious that his largely inactive year in the Premier League should not risk his berth in a Slovakian squad that has done well in the World Cup qualifiers.
"I'm a national player, I need to play. If I don't play I will lose my place in the national team," said the defender, who has played 34 times for his country.
"We are first in the table now, we have a big chance to go to the World Cup, and if I'm not there I'd be very sad."
Cech may come in out of the cold on Saturday for the Baggies' game with Wigan, as Robinson is struggling with the ankle injury he suffered at Tottenham last weekend.
