Lawson has led the championship since the first round |
North Yorkshire's Robert Lawson still leads the SEAT Cupra Championship after the three latest rounds at Snetterton at the weekend. He managed two podium finishes after failing to complete the first race. Lawson said: "We've kept the damage limitations to as small as I could possibly do really. "It's the first non-finish of the year, I think there's a few people in the same boat so I think the championship at the moment is still in good shape." The Richmond driver was forced out of the first race after being caught up in the aftermath of an accident. He said: "All in all it was just disappointing, the first race of the weekend, having a non-score there hit us a little bit." Lawson went on to secure two second-place finishes behind Jonathan Adams, he leads the championship by 28 points with eight rounds remaining. The next races are at Oulton Park on 26 and 27 July.
