Richmond driver Robert Lawson has extended his lead at the top of the SEAT Cupra Championship despite defeat at Thruxton at the weekend. Lawson finished third in round seven and fourth in round eight despite being on pole position for the second race. However his finishes were slightly better than his nearest rivals Martin Byford and Carl Breeze and so he extended his overall lead to 22 points. The next rounds are at Lawson's home track of Croft from 30 May-1 June.
