The truth dawns on Ronnie O'Sullivan that he is the new World Champion
Ronnie O'Sullivan finally fulfilled his great potential and won the Snooker World Championship, beating John Higgins in the final.

Ronnie O'Sullivan heads towards his first World Championship final as he puts on an impressive display against Joe Swail. O'Sullivan ends the day 15-9 ahead but Swail hasn't given up yet. Elsewhere Matthew Stevens claws his way back into contention against John Higgins, the day ending all square at 8-8 in their match.

    Ronnie O'Sullivan and John Higgins forged ahead in their respective semi-finals clashes. Joe Swail could only watch as O'Sullivan ended the first day with a four frame lead, at 6-2. It was much of the same in the evening session with John Higgins looking confident against Matthew Stevens, finishing the day with a 5-3 lead.
