![]() | BBC snooker coverage ![]() Mark Williams is aiming to repeat last year's success Coverage of the Embassy World Snooker Championship begins Saturday 21 April 1125BST on BBC Two Click here for television coverage times The BBC has extensive live coverage of the 17-day snooker marathon from the minute the Embassy World Championship get underway at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. The winner will collect a cheque for �250,000 and lift one of the most famous trophies in British sport. Last year Mark Williams captured the biggest prize in snooker by becoming Embassy World Champion 2000.
Dougie Donelly and Matt Smith will be sharing the presentation, and for the first time, Steve Davies will be joining the commentary team along side Clive Everton, Ray Edmonds, Dennis Taylor, John Virgo and Willie Thorne. |
