US Masters Tiger watch
Tiger Woods
Tiger Woods: On course for a record Major win
Hole-by-hole action from the third round of the US Masters as Tiger Woods aims for a record fourth Major win in a row.

1st hole: Woods and playing partner Chris DiMarco both make steady starts, with level-par fours at the opening hole.
Woods -8

2nd: The pressure starts to tell on Masters rookie DiMarco, who drops a shot at this 575-yard par-five - the longest hole on the course. Woods drives into the sand but he recovers for a par - just as one of his main rivals for the title, Phil Mickelson, is moving ahead of the field.
Woods -8

3rd: The third par in a row for Woods, this time at the 350-yard par four - but again it is not without incident. This time he finds the trees and is forced to scramble for a four. DiMarco recovers from his dropped shot at the second by bagging a birdie three to move alongside Mickelson at the top of the leaderboard on 10 under.
Woods -8

4th: No change, as Woods and DiMarco both card threes at the 205-yard 4th.
Woods -8

5th: This par four represents one of Augusta's hidden dangers. But neither Woods nor DiMarco suffer any slip-ups.
Woods -8

6th: Routine par threes for both Woods and DiMarco.
Woods -8

7th: At last a birdie for Woods, as he sinks a three-foot putt for a three. But DiMarco also picks up a shot to move to 11 under on his own.
Woods -9

8th: Woods hits a superb mid-iron approach shot to within 20 feet of the hole on this 550-yard par five, to give himself a chance for a birdie. But his putt drifts off to the right, and he has to settle for par. DiMarco collects a routine par.
Woods -9

9th: Woods runs through the back of the green with his second shot - but he plays an immaculate approach putt from the fringe and taps in for par and a front nine of 35. Another par for DiMarco, who completes the first half of his round with a one-stroke lead.
Woods -9

10th: A stroke of luck for Woods as his iron runs through the green before rolling back off the bank and down towards the hole. But his birdie putt is too hard and it slips past. DiMarco stays at 11 under.
Woods -9

11th: Woods holes an enormous 25-foot putt for only his second birdie of the day - to the delight of the packed gallery. DiMarco is undettered by the cheers and completes his par to stay one ahead of Woods.
Woods -10

12th: Woods over-shoots the green at this short, but treacherous, par-three. He rolls a wedge shot down the slope to about six feet, but misses his par putt. It is his first dropped shot of the day. Par for DiMarco.
Woods -9

13th: This 485-yard par five is a definite birdie chance - and Woods makes no mistake as he cards a four to move to within two shots of leader Angel Cabrera. DiMarco manages a par to stay at 11 under.
Woods -10

14th: Woods finally seems to have found his best from. He sends a fantastic iron into the green, the ball drops dead and he nails the birdie putt. He moves alongside DiMarco, with Cabrera dropping off the lead. It has taken him 50 holes, but he is now at the top of the leaderboard for the first time.
Woods -11

15th: His second shot runs off the back of the green on this par five. But he does well to get up and down for another birdie. And with DiMarco dropping a shot, he is now out on his own, two strokes ahead of the field.
Woods -12

Follow the leader: DiMarco and Woods march down the fairway
16th: At the short 16th he sends his tee shot to within 20 feet of the flag. The birdie putt drifts just inches away and he has to settle for par. DiMarco, after a great tee shot, holes from five feet for a birdie to move to within a stroke of Woods.
Woods -12

17th: Regulation golf at the 425-yard penultimate hole. He finds the centre of the fairway, then the middle of the green and two-putts for par. But DiMarco struggles around the green and drops back to 10 under.
Woods -12

18th: The last hole of the day - and he unleashes a huge drive, before pitching a 95-yard wedge to 12 feet. This time he misses the putt and takes a four for an inward 33 and a round of 68. DiMarco also takes a four for a level-par 72.
Woods -12
