Pakistan spinners Mushtaq Ahmed and Saqlain Mushtaq shared eight wickets to guide the tourists to a thumping win at Grace Road.

The pair were denied a bowl in the first innings, but got in on the act in the second innings to bamboozle an under-strength Leicestershire side.

Pakistan batted on to reach 294, led by Faisal Iqbal, who compiled 83 off 186 balls.

Yousuf Youhana also spent some valuable time at the crease to make 80.

The second-string Leicestershire attack - devoid of Devon Malcolm, James Ormond, Jon Dakin, Daniel Marsh and Vince Wells - restricted the Pakistanis to 93 for the loss of their last seven wickets.

Leicestershire's second innings started in similar fashion to the first with Wasim trapping Maddy lbw for the second time with a late inswinger.

Debutant Ashley Wright made 30 as he put on 71 with Iain Sutcliffe, the left-hander adding 38 to a first innings half-century.

From 71 for one, Saqlain instigated another Leicestershire collapse and Mushtaq, who had numerous hearty bat pad appeals turned down, joined the party as the last nine victims fell for 101.

Saqlain wrapped it up as Griffiths became the 13th lbw victim of the match, the off-spinner taking four for 37 and Mushtaq four for 41.
