Reigning champion Gary McFarlane has been knocked out of the Channel Island Golf Championship in Guernsey.

Danny Blondel defeated McFarlane in the quarter-finals after Blondel played consistently to win by 3&2.

Blondel will now meet Mick Marley who beat Danny Bisson, also by 3&2, in the semi-final.

The other semi-final will be between Nigel Vaudin, who beat Bobby Eggo two up and Andy Eggo who was a 3&2 winner over Steve Mahy.

The semi-finals will be played on Friday evening starting from 1700 BST with the final played over 36 holes on Sunday.
