Jersey's young athletes will be heading off to the Azores for next year's Jeux des Isles. The Portuguese islands have been announced as the venue for the 2010 edition of the games. The Jeux des Isles are for athletes aged 12-16 to compete in table tennis, tennis, swimming, athletics, gymnastics and sailing. The organisers are also hoping to run a Judo competition for the first time next year. At the 2009 Jeux des Isles in Majorca, Jersey won eight medals, four of which were gold in athletics.
