Jersey's top young sporting talent has headed to Pune in India to compete in the Commonwealth Youth Games. Four tennis players, four swimmers and four athletes will represent the island at the event. It is the second Commonwealth Youth Games that the island has entered, having competed in Bendigo in Australia four years ago. The games run between 12-18 October and will see over 1,200 athletes from all 71 Commonwealth territories take part. Jersey won its first ever Commonwealth Youth Games gold four years ago in Bendigo when swimmer Daniel Halksworth struck gold in the 400m individual medley.
