York City defender Daniel Parslow could miss the rest of the season after needing stitches in a head wound.

Parslow left the field in the win over Luton with a gash to his head that has needed internal and external stitches.

Manager Gary Mills told BBC Radio York: "He's been outstanding, we're going to miss him.

"James Meredith went on and did the job on Tuesday and I've called Greg Young back so I've now got decisions to make for Saturday."

Mills went on: "Chris Carruthers did well at left-back as well. Do I bring Greg Young back or do I keep James there and Chris Carruthers at left-back?

"Jamal Fyfield is also there as a defender, left-back or left centre-half."

I didn't feel he was going to be enhancing us in any way better than what I'd got and they called him back.

Meanwhile Huddersfield Town have recalled winger Aiden Chippendale from his loan spell at Bootham Crescent.

He joined the club until the end of the season in March but his opportunities have been limited.

Mills said: "I'm disappointed. They weren't too happy he wasn't playing or certainly not being on the bench.

"I took him really not having seen a lot of him, but took him. They knew the understanding I hadn't seen a lot of him and I'd be looking at him in training and seeing what I thought.

"I didn't feel he was going to be enhancing us in any way better than what I'd got and they called him back.

"He won't be able to play back there because he came on loan with us.

"Unfortunately that's what Huddersfield have done and they're within their rights to do that so there's nothing I can do about it."
