Harrogate Town's unbeaten run stretches to ten matches
Harrogate Town have taken their unbeaten run to ten games and delayed Alfreton from winning Blue Square Bet North after a 1-1 draw.
Graeme Armstrong scored a late goal to equalise after Anthony Wilson put Alfreton ahead in the first half.
Harrogate manager Simon Weaver told BBC Radio York: "We had the better chances.
"Alfreton are a side that are going to win the league, no doubt about it. But we didn't want them to win it in front of our home fans."
Weaver added: "We could have been up at half-time, three or four nil. And in the second half I still thought we were going to get a goal.
"There was always that belief in the changing room and we thoroughly deserved a point at least.
"We really want to do well for Harrogate and it's been an uphill struggle at times but I just wish this was the start of the season.
"The atmosphere in that changing room was the best I've known since I've been here. There's something in there and it was evident on the pitch tonight."
