York City manager Martin Foyle was not impressed by his side's performance as they reached the first round of the FA Cup with a 2-0 victory over Bedworth.
Michael Rankine and Richard Brodie scored for York to take them past the fourth qualifying round.
Foyle told BBC Radio York: "There was quite a few disappointing performances today but as I said after the game the object was just to get into round one.
"I'm not making excuses. I didn't think we were sharp enough, quick enough."
"Our set pieces weren't good enough and general play was quite poor," he continued.
"But they have had a hard week and you've got to take that into consideration sometimes.
"If you don't start the game out of the blocks it's very hard to pick it up.
"There were a lot of things that weren't right.
"It's a wake-up call but again we're unbeaten at home and we're into the next round."
Foyle said he wants York to go on a run in the FA Cup and he is ready to take on whoever they are drawn against.
"If it's the weakest side in the competition at home then we'll take them on," he said.
"But if it's any Conference or League side, as you can see the home games we've played against the Stevenages, the Ketterings, the Oxfords, we've played great.
"So maybe the better the opposition will probably be better for us."
